Today Vlog is over organizing your social media. Do you feel overwhelmed by your social media? Do you feel like you can’t get it all done? This video is a great place to start.
Why organize social media?
1st It safes time. Time better spend on your business.
2nd It gets done. If it is on a schedule and laid out the chances of it getting done goes up. The chance it is done well goes up too.
How to organize social media?
I use calendars and tools. I have 3 monthly calendars. An editorial calendar for my social media content, an editorial calendar for my blog/vlog content, and a monthly to-do calendar.
On the monthly I have one day for maintenance for my website and social profiles and one day for reviewing analytics. I have one to two days for editorial calendar and content creation. They are on the schedule and I have spaced out time for them to get done. These calendars can be very simple. You can keep a written or digital calendar. You can go as fancy as an excel spreadsheet.
Tools that I use to keep myself organized are auto schedulers and project organizers. Auto schedulers are wonderful they keep me from having to worrying about posting every day. I can load it up then my mind is them free to work on bigger projects or allow me to engage more on my social profile instead of just posting.
I use Buffer for all my profiles except Instagram. For Instragram I use Later. I just prefer it over Buffer for it. There are plenty of schedulers out there. You have to decide what meets your budgetary needs and what feels right to you.
I also use project organizers. If I have a project that is going to take two to three weeks I want to keep track of that so it gets done. I do this as simply as having a manila folder to keep all the things related to it and tracking it as well. You can do this with a computer folder.
I am starting to use a digital project organizer called Trello. It allow you to keep you links, images, and everything associated with that project in it.
If you want to continue to produce good content for your social media you need to get organized. I hope this video helps you get started. Come back for my Vlog next month because we will be talking about the calendars more in-depth.
So good planning and we will see you then.
